Thomas D. Lutynski, 63, of the Hudson section of Plains Township, died Friday
in the Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit of Geisinger South Medical
Center, Wilkes-Barre, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born in Hudson, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna Januszko Lutynski.
He was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1962. He was
formerly employed at Muskin Leisure Pool Company, Roth American and Trion
until his retirement. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War ; he enjoyed
bowling and was a  past president of a  Chacko’s bowling league. He loved to
cook, go for walks and was an avid sports fan.  He was a member of St.
Joseph Church, Hudson and belonged to several local prayer groups. He was
preceded in death by a sister Julia Rycki.

Surviving are brothers Chester, with whom he resided; Stephen, Binghamton,
New York; sisters Irene Nastawa, Bayonne, New Jersey; Dorothy Ann Vearling,
Sewell, New Jersey; Christine “Tina” Macko, Wilkes-Barre and Carol Ann
Lutynski, Sewell, New Jersey.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the Mark V. Yanaitis
Funeral Home, 55 Stark Street, Plains, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St.
Joseph Church, Hudson, with Rev. Michael Kloton, officiating. Interment will be
in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hudson. Friends may call Sunday evening 6 to 9 p.m.
