Anna A. Lavix , 94, of Hudson, past into the Lord's care
on Tuesday in the Little Flower Manor Nursing Facility,
Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Port Griffith, she was the daughter of the late
Joseph and Catherine Molitoris Lukus. She was a life
resident of the Hudson section of Plains Township. She
was a proud member of St. Joseph Church, Hudson; the
Confraternity of Christian Mothers; the Altar and Rosary
Society; and a founding member of the church's Women's
Club. Anna was a beloved mother and homemaker to her
family. She was married to the late John J. Lavix, February
23, 1991, for fifty-four precious years. She was preceded in
death by brothers Michael; Joseph; John; and sisters Agnes
Santey; Marie Krol; Margaret Tontini, and Kathryn
Pasquali.
Surviving are daughter Rebecca Kulbaski Ashley; son
Joseph M., Hudson; brother Andrew Lukus, Lancaster;
Sister Dolores Korzienewski, Inverness, Florida;
grandchildren Lisa Harding and husband Joseph, Hudson;
Carol Lavix, Gamerills, Maryland; Dr. Mark Kulbaski and
his wife Liisa, Wappingers Falls, New York; Attorney
James J. Kulbaski and wife Laura, Fairfax Station, Virginia;
Attorney Frank E. Kulbalski III, Washington D.C. ; and
great grandchildren Molly; Anna; Nicholas; and Andrew.
Anna's funeral will be on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the
Mark V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark Street, Plains,
with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church,
Hudson, with Rev. Michael Kloton officiating. Interment
will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends
may call Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. The Confraternity of
Christian Mothers of St. Joseph will be reciting the rosary
at 6:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the
Little Flower Manor, 200 South Meade Street,
Wilkes-Barre, Pa, 18702.
