Josephine H. Kulmaczeski, 82, of the Hudson section
of Plains Township, died Wednesday evening in the
General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, after being stricken ill
at home.
Born in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late
Frank and Helen Matuszewski Kulmaczeski. Josephine
was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class
of 1945. She was employed by General Electric, Ohio,
for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a life
long member of St. Joseph Church, Hudson.
Josephine is the last sibling of a family of 13 children.
She was preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Leon,
Stanley (Happy), Vincent (Bill), Alvin, Louis, Walter,
John and sisters Mary Kulmaczeski, Stella
Kulmaczeski, Clara Posluszny and Frances Krainz.
Surviving are nieces, nephews, great-nieces and
great nephews.
Josephine’s funeral will be conducted Saturday at 9:
00 a.m. from Mark V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark
Street, Plains, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St.
Joseph Church, Hudson. Interment will be in the
parish cemetery, Hudson. Friends may call Friday 6 to
