Helen T. Jesikiewicz, 82, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, July 20,
2010, in the General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Hudson on August 16, 1927, Helen was the daughter of the late
John and Anna Starczyk Wincek. She was educated in the Plains Township
school system and was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains.
Helen was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by
her loving family who she loved to take care of and spend time with. She was
preceded in death by her husband Stanley (Woody) who died September 21,
1992; her sister Mary Sabol and by brothers John, Louis, Stanley and Joseph
Wincek.
Surviving are her daughters Barbara Gubbiotti and her husband Richard
(Ben), Plains; Carol Reese and her husband David, Hanover Township;
Janice Jones and her husband Cliff, Hudson; grandchildren Jennifer Yuhas
and her husband Robert, Hudson; Jaclyn Jones, Hudson; Amanda Reese,
Hanover Township; sisters Celia Wincek, Hudson; Frances Fadelsak, Jenkins
Township; brothers John Wincek Jr., Hudson; Walter Wincek, Spring Hill,
Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Helen’s funeral will be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the Mark
V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark Street, Plains, with a Mass of Christian
Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains. Interment will be in
the parish cemetery, Plains. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8
p.m.
