Becky A. Montague, 46, of the Hudson section of Plains
Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening,
succumbing to a courageous battle fought against a cancer
illness. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre and was the daughter of the
late Patrick and Mary Ann Tluczek Montague. Becky resided
in Hudson for most of her life, and was a graduate of Bishop
Hoban High School, Class of 1981. Over the years she had
worked for the Hallmark Store, United Penn Bank, Pugliese
Eye Specialists, the Catholic Guild store, Kingdom Vacations
and was currently the Regional Coordinator for the
Travelocity Company, Hanover Township. She was a member
of the former St. Joseph Church, Hudson and currently Ss.
Peter and Paul Church, Plains. Becky enjoyed volunteering
for church bazaars and other church fund raisers.
Surviving are her sisters Joanne Meyer and her husband
Thomas, Marlton, New Jersey; Pat Chiverella and her husband
Barry, Miners-Mills; aunt Rita Moran, Hudson; nieces and
nephews Barry and Sharon Chiverella, Shane and Shannon
Chiverella, Patrick and Robynn Chiverella, Jennifer and John
Babilino, Tracey and Maria Chiverella, Thomas and Amy
Meyer; great nieces and nephews Jonathan, Ashley, Austin,
Chrystian, Daniel, Niko, Samantha, Cody; Becky’s best friend
Bianca and her pet dog Bella and cats Darcy and Casey.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on
Wednesday 5 to 8 p.m. to celebrate Becky’s life at Mark V.
Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark Street, Plains. A private
family interment will follow on Thursday in Mount Olivet
Cemetery, Carverton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations
may be given at the funeral home or sent to Hospice of the
Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
